Day 01: Cochin – Athirappally: On arrival at Kochi Airport, you will be welcomed and assisted by our representative and will be transferred to Athirappally. Athirappally is known for Athirappally waterfalls, a popular picnic spot in the banks of Chalakudi River. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Stay overnight at Athirappally.
Day 02: Munnar: After breakfast transferred to the high ranges of Munnar- the highest and the most beautiful tea growing region in the world. Visit a tea estate and factory after some leisure. Evening is at leisure Stay overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Munnar: After breakfast spend the day with local sightseeing at Munnar. Munnar, the majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. Local sightseeing of Munnar includes visit to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo point. Afternoon proceed to Rajamalai were the rarest species of mountain goat, “Nilgiri Thars”, can be spotted. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar
Day 04: Periyar: Drive uphill through beautiful spice plantations and finally reach Periyar National Park – One of the best jungles in India to see wild elephants. Day is free to explore on your own.
Day 05: Periyar: Visit the National Park on boat over Periyar Lake where several wild animals congregate at different times. You may enjoy the Elephant Ride in the jungle or have a walk inside the park.
Day 06: Kumarakom – Houseboat: In the morning drive to the excellent backwater destination-Kumarakom in your exclusive vehicle for enjoying the house boat program. Check in your houseboat and sail through the excellent backwaters of Kerala to explore its village life. The houseboat will quietly sail through the backwater canals all day and night. While the houseboat tour you will pass through several villages, spice plantations, and you may observe the very interesting lifestyle of Kerala people. In your houseboat savor the local Kerala Cuisine freshly prepared by your private chef.
Day 07: Alleppey: After breakfast disembark your houseboat. Check in your hotel in Alleppey. Alleppey is also known as the ‘Venice of the East’. It is a small town south of Cochin. The Vembnad Lake, narrow canals, paddy fields and the sleepy villages all make Alleppey a beautiful place. During the day take a walking tour of thee town. Also visit the Raj Rajeshwari temple and if possible attend the evening arti. Only Hindus are allowed in the temple. To enter the main area, the men should not wear anything above the waist whereas the women should wear a ‘Saree’. Evening is at leisure.
Day 08: Kochi-Departure: At appropriate time you will be transferred to Kochi airport to board the flight to your onwards destination. Tour Ends.
