Tour Details

Day: 1: Kolkata (Arrival): On your arrival at Kolkata international airport you will be received by our representative and transferred to your hotel for check in. Remaining day is kept at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 02: Kolkata: Early in the morning, take a walking tour of Maidan area to watch Kolkata waking up- jogging, aerobics, yoga sessions, meditation, chats, trams, laughter clubs, horse rides at race course etc. against the historic backdrop of buildings like the Victoria Memorial. Later visit Victoria Memorial, Art Gallery, Indian Museum and colourful markets viz. Park Street & New Market. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 03: Kolkata: Morning after breakfast take a tour of College Street and its legendary Indian Coffee House, BBD Bagh, you may visit High court Complex and interact with the persons (known as Notary Public) who type letters for people. Also explore some off the beaten tracks viz. Chinese shoe making on Bentick Street, Kolkata’s legendary Sweet making institutions like Nakur Nandi and B.C. Nag, Kolkata’s Theatre and Taliganj Club. Stay overnight in your hotel.

Day 04: Darjeeling: Morning you will be transferred to Kolkata airport to board the flight to Bagdogra. On arrival at Bagdogra airport you will be received by our representative and will be transferred to the queen of hill stations known as Darjeeling. The hills also offer breathtaking views of the Kunchenjunga peak which is the 3rd highest mountain peak of the world. Later after check-in, take a pleasant walk on the ridge at the mall road.

Day 05: Darjeeling: During the day visit Himalayan Mountaineering institute famous for having Edmond Hillary and Tenging Norgay as its members & patrons, and the famous Darjeeling zoo (the zoo houses several rare to find Himalayan animals & birds in a natural setting). Return back to your hotel before evening and keep rest of the time free at leisure. In the evening you may visit the restaurant for a cup of tea or coffee or chilled beer. It is a few surviving Raj era institutions which still serves as a favourite hang-outs for evening get togethers and socializing.

Day 06: Darjeeling: In the morning, enjoy the heritage mountain train ride pulled by a Steam Engine to Ghoom. The exciting journey will cross through nice landscapes & tea estates. At Ghoom you may visit the Buddhist monastery. Return back to Darjeeling and keep rest of the day at leisure.

Day 07: Rinchenpong: After breakfast check out from your hotel and drive further to Rinchenpong - the place is famous for the beautiful view of the Kanchenjunga Mountains. On arrival, check in at your hotel. You may enjoy short trek in the surrounding. Apart from the natural beauty of the surroundings, the place is also quite significant from historical point of view and has a magnificent command over the mountain views, sunrise and sunset.

Day 08: Rinchenpong: During the day take a visit to historical and heritage site of Rinchenpong Monastery & Resum Monastery and other attractions of tourist interest.

Day 09: Pelling: Drive further to Pelling via Khecheopari Lake and on arrival check in at your hotel. Rest of time is at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 10: Pelling: During the day visit to Pemayangtse Moanstery and Rabdantse Ruins. In the evening take a walk to Sangacholing Monastery & back. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 11: Gangtok: Morning check-out from your hotel and drive further to Gangtok. On arrival, check in at your hotel. After a brief leisure move for a half day sightseeing tour covering Rumtek Monastery, Research Institute of Tibetology, Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery and other place of tourist interest. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 12: Gangtok: Morning after breakfast move for an excursion to Tshongo Lake situated at a height of 3,780 meters. The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Later return back to your hotel. Stay overnight at your Hotel.

Day 13: Kalimpong: Morning drive further to Kalimpong - Once the headquarters of a Bhutanese Governor, the word 'Kalim' means King's Minister and ' pong' - the stronghold hence the stronghold of the King's minister. After brief leisure take a city tour which include your visit to major attractions like The MacFarlane Church, Durpin Dara - an observatory point, Kalimpong Arts & Craft Center Mangal Dham Mandir. Stay overnight at Kalimpong.

Day 14: Guwahati: At appropriate time you will be transferred to Bagdogra airport to board the flight to Guwahati. On arrival, you will be received and transferred to hotel to check-in. Rest of time at leisure. 

Day 15: Kaziranga: After breakfast, you will be transferred straight to your resort in Kaziranga. On arrival, check-in at your resort. If time allows you may enjoy afternoon jeep safari in the jungle. Stay overnight at Kaziranga. 

Day 16: Kaziranga: Early in the morning you will explore the jungle on elephant back. Cruising through tall grasses and marshes your elephant will take very close to wild rhinos. After returning back you can go to the jungle again in jeep safari. You have the option of taking another jeep safari in the afternoon.

Day 17: Kaziranga: The day again would be spent in taking the two jeep safaris. Evening is at leisure.

Day 18: Jorhat: After breakfast you will be transferred further to ‘Burra Sahib's Bungalow’ a heritage tea estate bungalow located at Sangsua Tea estate near Jorhat. On arrival check in, rest of time at leisure. Experience the luxuries that the British manager had enjoyed. The retinue of uniformed servants, the traditional, continental meals and 'in-betweens', the elaborate baths and sporting pastimes - a game of croquet with spouses in tow, or even angling in the Burra Sahib's personal lake. 

Day 19: Jorhat: Day is at leisure. During the day you may take an excursion to Majuli - the largest island on the Brahmaputra has numerous monastries or to Sibsagar - the erstwhile capital of the Ahoms kings who ruled for six hundred years is also home to the Sivadol, the tallest Shiva Temple in India. The ruins of Ahom palaces and monuments dot the landscape in this historical town.

Day 20: Kolkata (Departure): At appropriate time you will be transferred back to Jorhat airport to board the flight to Kolkata. On arrival at Kolkata, take an internal shuttle transfer to international airport to board the flight back to home destination. The tour ends.
